Description
A hearty 30-minute pasta with sausage, garlic, and broccoli, perfect for weeknight comfort.
Ingredients
2 Tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic
½ tsp crushed red pepper
½ lb. Italian sausage
1 lb. frozen broccoli florets (partially thawed)
1 lb. bow tie pasta
2 oz. smoked gouda
2 oz. shredded Italian cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente.
2. Mince garlic and heat olive oil in a skillet.
3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté briefly.
4. Add sausage, breaking it up as it cooks.
5. Add thawed broccoli; cook until tender.
6. Drain pasta, reserving some water.
7. Combine pasta with sausage and broccoli in skillet.
8. Add reserved water if needed; toss with cheese and seasonings.
Notes
Use chicken or turkey sausage for a lighter option.
Add cream or tomato sauce for variations.
Reheat leftovers with olive oil or broth to refresh.
