Description

This Meatloaf with Stove Top Stuffing recipe is a family favorite that blends classic comfort with modern simplicity. Juicy ground beef, savory stuffing mix, and a touch of sweetness from ketchup or BBQ sauce create the perfect weeknight dinner. It’s hearty, flavorful, and ready in under an hour, ideal for busy evenings when you want something warm, homemade, and satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
  • 1 box Stove Top stuffing mix (any flavor)
  • 1 cup water or milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup ketchup or BBQ sauce (plus more for topping)
  • ½ cup diced onion (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat to 375°F (190°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Soften Stuffing: Combine Stove Top stuffing and water or milk in a large bowl. Let sit 5 minutes to soften.
  3. Mix Ingredients: Add ground beef, eggs, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined, avoid overmixing.
  4. Shape & Glaze: Form into a loaf and place in the pan. Brush with ketchup or BBQ sauce.
  5. Bake: Bake uncovered for 50–55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  6. Rest & Serve: Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes, corn, or green beans for a complete meal.

Notes

Use milk instead of water for a richer flavor. For a brown gravy version, drizzle gravy over the loaf during the last 15 minutes of baking. Leftovers make great sandwiches, just reheat slices and serve on toasted bread with extra BBQ sauce.
