- 3 cups Oreo cookie crumbs (about 18–20 cookies)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for crust)
- 1 tablespoon milk
- Whipped cream for topping
- Optional: vanilla custard sauce for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix crushed Oreos, melted butter, milk, and a pinch of cinnamon until well combined. Press into a 9-inch pie pan and bake for 7 minutes. Let cool completely.
- Melt the Chocolate: Place chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Whip the Butter and Sugar: Beat softened butter and sugar together in a stand mixer for 5 minutes, until light and fluffy.
- Add the Chocolate and Eggs: Mix in melted chocolate, then add eggs one at a time, beating 3 minutes after each addition. Add vanilla and salt.
- Assemble: Spoon filling into the cooled crust. Smooth the top and cover loosely with foil.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, until set.
- Serve: Top with whipped cream and enjoy with custard sauce if desired.

Use pasteurized eggs if serving to children, elderly, or pregnant guests. Allow enough time for chilling to achieve the perfect silky texture. For a no-bake version, skip the crust baking step. Try adding a drizzle of caramel or fresh raspberries for a decorative finish.
